The Six Pillars of Humanity and Hope United Foundation
Everyone needs safe shelter and clean water. It all starts with the basics of life. Every person on this planet needs a safe shelter above their head. Every person needs clean water for their body. This IS humanity, to believe this and provide this. Not having this produces helplessness and defeat. Providing this restores and begins to build hope. Hope is the best of things. It fuels every person to live and love.
Everyone should have an opportunity to support themselves. The opportunity to provide for yourself and your family is a core desire in us. Without an opportunity or to have that stripped away robs us of dignity and motivation. The ability to assess the circumstances and develop job and income producing opportunities and skills is a key to any person and the survival of a community.
Sharing, caring, laughter, and unity are all elements of a thriving community. Sharing, trust, caring, laughter and unity are all elements of a community that is coming together. Basic infrastructure restores hope and relationship within a community, while economy brings motivation and energy to people. Adding opportunities to play, worship and celebrate together accelerates improving vitality even more. Community centers, soccer fields, and even shared events or celebrations unify a community.
Homes, clean water, and access to medical care are required for both immediate and long-term improvement. With safer homes and clean water, many of the major health risks are reduced. But significant care (i.e. medical and dental) are outside of reach for many communities due to geographic or economic barriers. A combination of providing health care moments and to develop health training and education with the community will bring immediate and long-term impact.
Each child deserves a chance to learn. Knowledge is power. That knowledge is needed in so many areas to live a life that prospers. Primarily for the teen to adult, various vocational training opportunities are critical to solve the economic needs. For long-term change, bringing improved education to children is the key, with a special emphasis in bi-lingual learning to magnify a child's future opportunities.
Sustainable positive change requires good leadership. It is said that everything rises and falls on leadership. That is never more true that when a community is in a hopeless state, and needs a long-term plan toward restoring hope and moving towards prosperity. Leadership might be identified and supported, or it could also mean finding those with potential and investing in their development. Regardless, if it doesn't exist then long-term change is not likely to occur.
